Ghanaian media personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa who is popularly known in showbiz as Afia Schwarzenegger, has finally broken silence on the rapid spread of COVID-19 among senior high schools, requesting the President of Ghana,” His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo to ensure effective measures are put in place to protect the students.
According to the controversial TV Presenter, the spread of this virus has caused fear in the hearts of students and parents because the health and lives are at stake. Hence requesting the government and minister of Education to allow the students to go back home.
Recently six cases were recorded in Accra Girls Senior High School with a staff couple also testing positive.
It has also been alleged that three boys at Kumasi High, have also been taken into isolation after their results came out positive.
A student of KNUST Senior High School also died when staff members of the school neglected her due to the fear of Covid-19 after her ulcer attack arose, leading to a serious demonstration of the students amid the painful death of their colleague.
According to Afia, she decided to voice out on the current situation because she is worried about mothers whose children are in school in this pandemic.
She indicated that her children are her responsibility, hence, she would not allow them to put their lives in danger but rather she has decided to stay with her family at home, to protect them from acquiring the deadly virus.
