
Accra, March 3, 2025 – Ghana’s leading media conglomerate, Media General, has officially launched Ghana Month, a month-long celebration of the country’s independence and cultural heritage.
The initiative, themed “Promoting National Cohesion Through Culture,” will feature a lineup of radio, television, and online programs throughout March, engaging Ghanaians in discussions about unity, heritage, and national identity.
A Grand Launch at New Ghana Village
The launch event, held at the New Ghana Village, brought together notable dignitaries, including:
🔹 Nii Teiko Okai Reindorf, representing the Ga Mantse
🔹 Divine Owusu Ansah, Director of Creative Arts, representing the Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Creative Arts
🔹 Past and present queens of TV3 Ghana’s Most Beautiful
🔹 Veteran actor David Dontoh
Attendees were treated to a feast of traditional Ghanaian dishes, including Brukina, Lamugin, Sobolo, Asana, Gobɛ (rice and beans), and Kosua ne Meko (boiled egg with pepper sauce).



The event also showcased electrifying cultural performances by the NutefeWorla Cultural Troupe and the Efadzinam Borborbor Band, immersing guests in Ghana’s rich artistic traditions.
A Call to Preserve Ghana’s Heritage
Speaking at the event, Nuamah Eshun-Famiyeh, Group Chief Operating Officer of Media General, emphasized the importance of preserving Ghana’s cultural legacy.
“We encourage every Ghanaian to embrace, celebrate, and promote our heritage, as culture remains the foundation of our national identity,” he stated.
Throughout the month, Media General’s TV, radio, and digital platforms will air special programs, documentaries, and cultural showcases, ensuring that Ghana Month reaches audiences across the nation and beyond.
This initiative reinforces the spirit of unity and pride, highlighting Ghana’s diverse traditions, history, and achievements as the nation marks 68 years of independence.
