2024 WASSCE Results to Be Released by December 29, Education Minister Confirms
Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has announced that the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results will be released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on December 29.
The decision is intended to allow WAEC additional time to complete the marking process while effectively managing its financial challenges.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, December 24, Dr. Adutwum revealed that WAEC has completed 50% of the objective marking and is working through the holiday period to meet the timeline.
“I came to apprise myself of developments… they are working now through the holidays to get the results out on or before 29th of this month,” Dr. Adutwum stated.
The announcement follows the Ministry of Education’s recent release of GH₵25 million to WAEC to alleviate financial pressures and enhance operational efficiency. The Minister assured the public that the provisional results would be ready by December 28 or 29, ahead of final publication.
This move aligns with the government’s efforts to maintain the integrity of the examination process and support smooth operations within the education sector.
