President Mahama Urges Newly Commissioned Military Officers to Uphold Integrity and Service

📍 Accra, Ghana – April 11, 2025President John Dramani Mahama, Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has charged newly commissioned officers to embrace responsibility, integrity, and professionalism as they begin their military careers.

A Call to Leadership

Speaking at the Ghana Military Academy’s commissioning parade, President Mahama emphasized the crucial role of the Ghana Armed Forces in national peace and stability.

🔹 “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your lives. You are no longer officer cadets—you are the future of the Ghana Armed Forces,” he said.

🔹 The President reminded the officers that leadership is not about rank or privilege but about service, discipline, and responsibility.

🔹 “I urge you to lead with integrity, courage, and compassion,” he added, highlighting the high expectations the nation has of its armed forces.
