Nigerian Businessman Arrested Near Jubilee House in Security Operation

Accra, Ghana – April 7, 2025National Security, in collaboration with the Police and Military, has arrested Nigerian businessman Ben Peters at Aurora Apartments in Kanda, near Jubilee House.

Key Developments

🔹 Led by Richard Jakpa and Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency.

🔹 Peters and unidentified armed men allegedly blocked the apartment entrance with vehicles, preventing residents from entering or exiting.

🔹 He initially went into hiding but was arrested after the President’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama, appeared at the scene.

🔹 His associates were also detained, and his vehicles were seized by National Security.

Official Response

Mustapha Gbande condemned the act, stating:

🗣️ “Nobody can come into our country and take our people into this ransom. It is illegal and unlawful. This cannot be done in Nigeria and certainly not in this country.”
