John Dramani Mahama Sworn in as President for Second Term

John Dramani Mahama has officially taken the oath of office as the President of the Republic of Ghana, commencing his second term following his decisive victory in the 2024 general elections.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Black Star Square on January 7, 2025, brought together local and international dignitaries, including heads of state, diplomats, and representatives of global organizations. Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo administered the oath of office to President Mahama, reaffirming his pledge to uphold the Constitution and serve the people of Ghana.

Accompanying this historic event was the swearing-in of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as Vice President, cementing her place in history as Ghana’s first female Vice President.
