President Mahama Appoints New Heads for Fire Service, Prisons, and Immigration

Accra, March 14, 2025 – President John Dramani Mahama has appointed three new leaders for key security agencies in Ghana:

🔹 Ghana Prisons ServiceDDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie
🔹 Ghana National Fire ServiceDCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong
🔹 Ghana Immigration ServiceDCI Samuel Basentale Amadu

New IGP Also Sworn In

The announcement followed the swearing-in of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), replacing IGP George Akuffo-Dampare, who served from 2021 under former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

These appointments signal President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s security agencies, ensuring effective leadership in law enforcement, firefighting, and border control.
