ECG Announces Scheduled Power Outages for March 11 & 12 Across Multiple Regions

Accra, March 10, 2025 – The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance works that will lead to temporary power outages in selected areas across the Volta, Ashanti, Greater Accra, and Tema Regions on Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

According to ECG, the planned outages are necessary for critical maintenance to enhance electricity distribution and reliability.

Affected Areas and Timelines

Tuesday, March 11, 2025

📍 Volta Region
🕘 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Tsito and surrounding areas

📍 Ashanti Region
🕘 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Darko, Bebu, Ampabame No.2, Trede, Sabin Akroform, and parts of Pakyi No.2

🕘 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

  • Atwima Agogo, Abuakwa, Mankranso, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Afari, Abakomade, Kasapreko, Nerebehi, parts of Tanoso, Pokukrom, Seidi, Hiaw Besease, Atwima Koforidua, Ntensere, Tabre, Mpasaetia, Asempanaye, and surrounding communities.

Wednesday, March 12, 2025

📍 Greater Accra Region
🕘 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Pokuase Pharmacy, Ayawaso, Nii Ayi, Odumase, Amanfrom, Nsakina, Agbogba, Pantang Royal, and nearby areas.

📍 Tema Region
🕘 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • High Tension, Golf City, Community 17, Fafali, Cambodia, HFC Estates, and surrounding areas.

ECG Apology & Advisory

ECG has apologized for the inconvenience and urged residents and businesses in affected areas to make the necessary preparations.

🔹 Customers are advised to switch off electrical appliances during the outage to prevent power surges when electricity is restored.

🔹 ECG assures the public that the maintenance work is essential for improving power supply reliability and reducing unexpected blackouts in the future.
