Bawumia’s ‘Citizens App,’ its unique features, and why it is trending

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has introduced the CitizenApp, an innovative mobile application aimed at enhancing public service delivery and citizen interaction in Accra. This app provides a centralized platform where Ghanaians can access various government services, report issues, and receive real-time updates on important public matters.

The CitizenApp is designed to simplify access to government services, promote transparency, and improve efficiency in the interactions between citizens and government agencies. It aims to reduce bureaucracy and streamline processes like paying taxes, obtaining passports, and registering businesses.

During the launch, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s significance, stating, “Ghana is taking a major step forward in digitalization, and this platform will make everyday processes easier for citizens, while fostering greater government transparency and accountability.”

The launch was attended by government officials, technology experts, and the general public, highlighting the app as a key development in Ghana’s digital transformation efforts.
