Actor Kwaku Manu has advised Politicians to use Ghanaian languages for their campaign if they really want to win the upcoming elections in November.
The Kumawood actor who was speaking on Okay FM’s “Ekwanso dwoo dwoo”, said if politicians mounts platforms to campaign and they speak the Queen’s language most of their supporters hail and cheer them up but in actual fact they don’t necessarily understand anything they say.
“If you want to be President and you keep speaking English you will fail no matter the amount good English you speak”, Kwaku stated.
“This year, let me advice the politicians that if you are campaigning and you speak English, they would look at your face and clap for you but they would not vote for you because they didn’t get your message”.
Kwaku also disclosed that he always speaks Twi when he goes to the embassy to acquire visa to travel outside Ghana and the officials at all they embassies understand and they employ the service of a translator to interpret whatever he says.
