An aspiring National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye popularly called Nana B, has said he is confident of a landslide victory in the party’s upcoming internal elections.

Nana B who is contesting against Kamal Deen and Dominic Ewuah said he will win the polls to become the next National Youth Organiser of the party.

According to the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), his skills and competence makes him stand out against the others in contention for the position that is needed to lead the youth front of the NPP.

Speaking on Accra FM Tuesday, 10 April, Nana B who denied rumours of internal pressure pushing him to step down from the race said; “No one compelled me to step down, and I won’t step down, the victory will be loud and emphatic.”

The NPP is preparing for its National Delegates conference to elect new executives to steer affairs of the party for the next four years.

All aspirants have started campaigning ahead of the internal polls. However, there were claims that some officials of the NPP have held a meeting with Nana B to compel him to step down in favour of one of the aspirants.

He added; “No such meeting occurred and people should discard that rumour. God willing, I will win to become the next National Youth Organiser of the party, the campaign has been successful and we are picking positive signals.”
